The RECARO Avan infant carrier combines maximum safety and quality with extreme comfort for your baby. With the included seat reducer, the infant carrier can be used from birth and ensures safe and back-friendly reclining. An ergonomic handle and low weight ( 4.1 kg ) make the car seat comfortable to carry, whether on the way to the car or shopping. With an additional adapter, the carrier can be easily attached to a RECARO pram or buggy. This makes the Avan a practical everyday companion.

The highest safety standards are ensured by 3-point-harness system ( harnesses are coated to prevent skin irritation or friction )with patented HERO technology, which prevents slipping or twisting of the harness, and the Adavanced Side Protection System ( ASP ), which guarantees maximum protection in the event of a side impact ( large side panels, additional padded hip and shoulder area ). The intelligent belt buckle tilts forward when removing the baby and remains in that position to prevent the baby from sitting on the buckle when the baby is replaced in the seat.

5-way adjustable headrest adjusts to the child's height, ensuring the child is always secure and comfortable. Openings on the outer shell and mesh fabric ensure excellent ventilation even on hot days. This protects your baby from overheating even on longer journeys. A large, fold-up sun canopy( with UVP 50+ ) offers protection from the suns's rays and wind. Carrying the carrier is not made difficult even when the sun canopy is foulded out thanks to sufficient distance to the carrying handle.

The RECARO Avan infant carrier is designed for rearward facing transport. The car seat can be secured using the vehicle's own 3-point belt or with the Avan/ Kio I-size Isofix base ( not included ) official product testing ( Stiftung Warentest, child seat test 5/22 ) rated the RECARO Avan in combination with the Isofix base Avan/ Kio as good ( 1,8 )
